Installer and Surveyor Technical Competency Certification Seminar
From 31 May 2015 FENSA will be introducing new guidelines requiring relevant installers and surveyors to certify their technical competency. As this will become a requirement for all glazing Competence Person Schemes, all companies that wish to continue to self-certify to building regulations will in future need to prove that they have a competent workforce.
To assist companies affected by the new guidelines Smart are offering training and assessments to satisfy the requirements. Several options for compliance include the Minimum Technical Competency (MTC) assessment and the new Smart Technical Competency (STC) card.
The STC card is a certified NVQ qualification available for either surveying or installation as a NVQ Level 2, or as a combined qualification in both subjects at NVQ Level 3. A STC card will give Smart customers the advantage of offering a higher level of competency than the standard MTC through a fully certified NVQ.
